Wax:works

A partnership with design studio Wax Atelier was formed to scale their sustainable wax products business by training residents to start a co-operative for production

A large group of residents joined the discover and learn phase and a smaller group of eight was later selected to join the production team, earning London Living Wage on a part-time, flexible basis.

Wax Atelier and Every One Every Day teamed up to work with local residents in Barking and Dagenham to create a unique makers collective. Following a five-week programme of learning, the Wax:Works makers produced beautiful candles and sustainable food coverings out of natural materials.
