Borough-wide infrastructure for practical making
In 2023, the workshops and equipment owned by Every One Every Day were dispersed to new homes in the borough and now form a distributed network of spaces available to residents to access practical making opportunities.

Where the assets live
To be confirmed - Barking Enterprise Centre and a storage facility in the interim of locating an appropriate space.
How will the assets be used
We will use the equipment to create open access, collaborative workspaces and studios for ceramics, sewing and woodworking for beginners, hobbyists, enthusiasts, amateurs, experts and everyone in between to come together, meet and share ideas, learn new skills and make things in a friendly and accessible environment.

We will use the assets to host year-round programmes of creative workshops, social events, artists residencies, after-school programmes, growing projects, garden parties, and community access. All equipment, materials, and resources will feed into and enhance our ongoing community arts offer.

How will the assets be used
We will use the assets to run free training and workshops, delivered by skilled crafters for local people. We aim to bring generations together around skills sharing.

You can access the community Fabric & Textiles assets at Environmental Circle CIC by attending one of their bi-weekly sessions and activities taking place at the Chadwell Heath Community Centre from the 4th of June.

How will the assets be used
We will use the equipment to deliver on the increased demand for the subsidised meals and food bank hot meals which we make with our social enterprise.

How will the assets be used
The Industrial Kitchen will be used for test trading, prototyping and skill exchange for local food businesses, start ups and local residents. We will run workshops and bespoke training in partnership with the Barking Enterprise Centre and a dedicated programme by MAKE IT to ensure community hours are utilised and promoted.

We will use the partitions and other fixings to refurbish areas of the library, making them into lovely and accessible spaces for the local community to attend.

How will the assets be used
The furniture and equipment will enable us to support a greater number, size and variety of community events and activities at the Boathouse. They will help us offer a more comfortable and inviting environment for local people. Even though many of our community services are free or nearly-free, we strongly believe that these should be of the highest standard and use high quality equipment and materials.

We will use the equipment to activate the Rivergate Centre creating informal café space, co-working space, a children’s play area and a community kitchen. We picture it as a not-for-profit community lounge where anyone can come to connect with people, support each other and find opportunities.

How the assets will be used
The Fabric Lab sessions at The White House are a place to produce beautiful, sustainable, everyday items, while learning new skills and connecting with other makers. Learn about zero-waste patterns, using deadstock fabric, and upcycling old clothes and textiles to make something new and unique.
Come together with other residents of Barking and Dagenham to collaborate on exciting projects and help to make the neighbourhood a more connected and sustainable place to live.
