The Big Picnic

The Big Picnic brought neighbours, friends and family together outdoors to enjoy food and activities together

As part of the summer programme of 2022, this borough-wide event invited everyone to join in for a communal picnic. Whether attending solo or with friends and family, participants were encouraged to share and enjoy a diverse array of foods from around the world.

Leading up to the main event, various sessions happened to prepare for the big day. Attendees participated in activities like making scones, crafting bunting, and arranging flowers.

The Big Picnic was a celebration of food, conversation, and nature, where everyone contributed a dish and enjoyed a shared meal together.
