Crochet & Cake

Crochet & Cake created a relaxing atmosphere for learning and sharing

Crochet and Cake was all about learning how to crochet in a friendly and cosy environment. 

The project started in the Ripple Road shop when resident Nertila wanted to share both her crochet skills and her love for baking.

The idea was that people would bring along their favourite cake, or a cake that represented them which you would share for everyone to enjoy, and would receive some friendly crochet tips and tricks in return.

An online version called Crochet and Knit was developed from this project and launched March 2020 when residents could not meet in person. The weekly online session invited everyone to come and join in to crochet and knit along in a social online environment.
