Residents brought in their own ideas for new shelfstable food products and a food expert helped them refine their recipes and package them to trade together at a food stall.

Pantry was a collective of local food makers from Barking and Dagenham selling a range of shelfstable food products. The collaborative business programme supported participants to develop, make, and test trade a range of food products -- such as jams, chutneys, sauces, cakes, biscuits, and more. Participants became food hygiene certified and learnt how to work in an industrial kitchen to batch produce their products. They then test traded products together as a collective brand at markets around London.
