Oh Sew Easy

Oh Sew Easy was all about learning sewing basics.

Have you ever looked at a sewing machine and thought “If only I knew how to use that I could make that dress I’ve always wanted?” Or maybe you’ve just wanted to do a small repair on your favourite pair of trousers or that old jumper you love? Whatever the motivation, this was your chance to make it happen! 

Oh Sew Easy was a project all about sewing. Learning a new skill is a wonderful thing to do at any age. Starting from the very basics, residents were shown their way around a sewing machine - from how to thread it, to changing the stitch. From there residents experimented with different fabrics and patterns and made everything from cushions to blankets to dresses!
